The Determination of Forty Two Elements in Geological Materials by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry

This report describes the validation of a Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) technique for the determination of 42 elements in geological materials. This report is a supplement to Open-File Report 96-0525, Analytical Methods Manual for the Mineral Resources Program, which was published in 1996. The format of this report is consistent with other published methods that have been approved by the quality assurance coordinator.
